Spiced Sweet Sauce

Last night I made a spice rubbed pork tenderloin but felt that it needed a flavor punch so I created this sauce. It packs sweetness and a lingering kick of spice! Apricot Honey & Red Pepper Sauce: In a small sauce pan, combine 1/4 cup apricot preserves, 1/4 cup Nature's Golden Honey, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (add more if more heat is preferred), a pinch of salt and pepper. Slowly bring to a simmer, stirring every other minute. After 5 minutes, remove from heat (sauce will thicken up as it cools). Serve with your choice of protein (we highly recommend the pork). Andrew's Everything Vinaigrette

Don't be fooled.  I love to cook but some of the best things that have been created in our kitchen are actually Andrew's culinary masterpieces. As I mentioned in the butternut squash blog post, Andrew and I grew up (since we were 12) dining and cooking together. Andrew's mother, Julia, is a phenomenal cook which I'm sure led to Andrew knowing the very best techniques and flavors in the culinary arena.
